Attempted theft

An interior design business in San Bartolomé suffered an attempted robbery around one o'clock in the morning last Friday. As can be seen in the images published on social media by the owner, the glass door was damaged after the individual tried to force his way in.

Apparently, he first tried to force the door, but when he saw that it did not open, he threw a large stone against the door to try to break the glass, which he failed to do because the glass is security glass.

After the attempted robbery, a neighbor alerted the Local Police after hearing a lot of noise and seeing the broken glass, so the officers arrived at the scene. The owner reported the events to the Civil Guard the same Saturday morning.

For his part, the owner of the business has publicly denounced this attempted robbery, assuring that there is a lack of security in Lanzarote and that more police officers are needed.

He also continues by saying that "they have been suffering these robberies and other damages in our businesses for some time", so he demands greater surveillance in the municipality. In fact, he says that "in this month of April, he is the third person affected by a robbery".
