A person had to be assisted on Wednesday night, December 31, after requesting help from inside their home located on Los Crotos street, in Costa Teguise.
According to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the alert was received through the CECOES, warning that a person was asking for help from their home. Officers from the Central Park were dispatched to the scene.
During the dispatch, firefighters made contact with the caller, who was waiting for them at the entrance to the residential complex to guide them to the home. Upon arrival, they proceeded to force entry using non-damaging techniques.
At that moment, a doctor joined the service, entered the property, and located the person in bed. After an initial assessment, she determined the need for hospitalization and requested an ambulance from CECOES.Subsequently, firefighters collaborated with technicians from the Canary Emergency Services (SUC) to transfer the affected individual from a second-floor apartment to the ambulance, which took charge of his care and transport to the hospital
Agents from the Local Police and the Civil Guard also participated in the operation.
