On August 6, at approximately 7:30 p.m., agents of the Citizen Attention Operational Group (GOAC) of the Local Police of Arrecife proceeded to arrest a 31-year-old man for an alleged crime of breach of sentence.
The events occurred in a neighborhood of the capital of Lanzarote when the Local Police Operations Room alerted patrols that an individual was in his mother's home without her consent. Upon arriving at the scene, the agents found the son in a room with a nervous attitude, so he was identified.
The constant presence of local agents on the streets of Arrecife, both in undercover cars and vehicles for citizen security, allowed for a quick arrival at the home of the mother who had requested the police presence.
After consulting the databases, the local police confirmed that the man had a specific control in force for a restraining order from the victim, who in this case was his own mother. Given these facts, they proceeded to his arrest and subsequent placement at the disposal of the court.
The Local Police of Arrecife reiterate their "commitment to the safety and well-being of citizens, guaranteeing a rapid and effective response to any citizen demand."
