Arrested for not returning a rental car and violating a restraining order in Lanzarote

The Arrecife Local Police also arrested a man last week with a search and arrest warrant claimed by a Court of Tenerife

The Local Police of Arrecife arrested this past June 3 a 37-year-old man for a crime of breach of sentence and misappropriation.

The events took place when the vehicle in which he was traveling was stopped for control purposes, verifying that the driver had a restraining order in force on a woman who accompanied him as an occupant.

On the other hand, it was verified that the rental car he was driving had a complaint for improper appropriation for not being returned to the rental company, facts for which he was arrested and read his rights as well as the return of the vehicle to its legitimate owner.

 

 

Another man arrested on whom there was an arrest warrant

Likewise, agents of the Local Police of Arrecife also proceeded in the afternoon of June 1, when they were providing crime prevention service, to the arrest of a man on whom there was a search, arrest and appearance order issued by section 5 of the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

In this case, the arrest took place due to a breach of supervised release measure in relation to sexual abuse committed by the detainee. After his arrest and reading of rights, he was placed at the disposal of the requesting authority.
