National Police agents arrested J.R.V.G. in Arrecife, in the early hours of Tuesday, a 45-year-old man with eleven police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force in a bar. The arrested man, according to reports from the police force, forced the access door and the cash register, from which he stole the collection. The blood remains and the trail of coins he left in his escape guided the agents through several streets of the capital to an alley where he was hiding.

The events unfolded after a call to the 091 telephone number reporting the activation of an alarm in a bar in Arrecife. The agents who went to the scene were able to verify that the glass of the access door to the establishment had been broken, observing blood remains in the surroundings that continued inside.

The agents arrested the individual and transferred him to a nearby health center, where he was treated for several cuts on his hands caused by manipulating the glass of the establishment.

In the security search, the stolen money and the cash register drawer were seized. After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
