Agents of the National Police have arrested in Arrecife a 21-year-old man of Colombian nationality, with no police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a serious injury crime. He punched and kicked the victim in the head, causing several open wounds and a traumatic brain injury in the frontal region, leaving him unconscious until the arrival of medical personnel.

Last February, the National Police became aware through a complaint filed at the Arrecife Police Station of an attack committed in the early hours of the morning in a well-known nightclub in the capital of Lanzarote.
During the course of the same, a man punched and kicked the victim numerous times in the face and head, who was left lying on the ground unconscious.
As a result of the blows, the victim had to be attended by medical personnel and transferred to a nearby hospital, where he was diagnosed and treated for several open wounds, bruises and a traumatic brain injury in the frontal region.

The investigation carried out by agents of the National Police allowed the unequivocal identification of the alleged perpetrator of the events, who was finally located and arrested in Arrecife and placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
