During the night of this Saturday, February 15, several police deployments were intensified in the capital of Lanzarote, within the plans of the Arrecife City Council to intensify security and stop the sale of drugs. Local Police and National Police officers have intervened in the controls, which are closely intensifying collaboration between both police forces.
Specifically, the preventive controls of last Saturday night focused on the surroundings of Triana Street, where different nightlife establishments are located. Likewise, several police car patrols carried out preventive controls at the entrances to the Argana Alta neighborhood.
The Arrecife Local Police has a continuous presence in sensitive areas of the city. These investigations are carried out with camouflaged cars, and agents without police uniforms. As a result of these previous investigations, the joint action of both bodies of the Local Police National Police reinforces the monitoring to stop the commercialization of narcotics, and increase surveillance and police control in certain areas of the capital of Lanzarote.
