A young French national, 32 years old, had to be rescued by other bathers after finding himself in trouble at Mujeres beach in Papagayo. At around 5:20 p.m., CECOES received a call alerting that there were three people with problems due to the waves on the beach.
Local Police officers, a SUC medical ambulance and the Emergency Consortium have moved to the scene.
Upon the arrival of the firefighters, the bathers had already left the water with the help of other people who were on the beach. The most affected was the French tourist, who was given a thermal blanket and later attended by the ambulance's medical personnel.
