Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium had to extinguish the fire of an electric scooter on Fernando 'El Católico' street in Arrecife at 6:40 in the morning.
Alerted by the Lanzarote Emergency Coordination Center, the firefighters went to Fernando 'El Católico' street due to the explosion of the battery of a scooter that was parked inside a garage.
Upon arrival at the house, the inhabitants had already been evacuated and the garage door was open and a large amount of black smoke was coming out of it. There was also a vehicle in the parking lot that was not affected by the incident.
The firefighters of the Lanzarote Consortium located and removed the scooter from the garage. After that, they ventilated it to extract the existing smoke.
