A plane that took off from Edinburgh bound for Lanzarote had to turn around after half an hour due to three drunk passengers, according to a passenger speaking to La Voz.
The Ryanair flight took off at 4:20 p.m. this Friday and turned around half an hour later due to the behavior of several passengers.
"The flight was supposed to leave at 2:15 p.m., and it took off an hour and a half late," explains the traveler. "It was already evident before takeoff that one of them next to me was drunk, he smelled of alcohol and was smoking an electronic cigarette without any hesitation," she adds.
Afterward, the plane took off and "they started shouting anything in English, they took out the bottle of vodka which was practically finished, and then the flight attendant took it away along with the electronic cigarette."
Finally, half an hour after takeoff, the pilot decided to turn around and return to Edinburgh. Upon landing, several police officers were waiting at the foot of the stairs, who entered the plane and took them away under arrest.
The passengers had to wait another hour inside the aircraft until it finally took off and landed in Lanzarote at 11:15 p.m. "They didn't even give us a glass of water, a disgrace," criticizes the passenger.
