This Saturday at 10:00 p.m., 250 passengers boarded the Ciudad de Valencia ship of the Armas Transmediterránea shipping company bound for Cádiz. Departure was scheduled for 11:30 p.m., but an unfortunate incident delayed the trip.
As one of the passengers explained to La Voz, a car leaving the ship ran over a member of the crew, the captain, which led to the immediate intervention of the ambulance of the Canary Islands Emergency Service. The captain was evacuated to the Molina Orosa hospital with a leg injury.
Due to this incident, the ship could not set sail until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday until another captain came to replace him, causing a significant delay in the planned itinerary. The passengers spent the whole night inside the ship, until departure 15 hours later and will arrive in Cádiz in the early hours of next Tuesday.
