A 79-year-old woman has been rescued from the sea in the area of the Fariones docks with signs of drowning. The incident took place around 11.50 am when the Cecoes was alerted.
An ambulance from the SUC, Beach Surveillance Service, Local Police and the Civil Guard have been dispatched to the scene.
The SUC health personnel assessed and provided initial assistance to the affected person before transferring her to the hospital.
Lifeguards from the beach surveillance service and police officers deployed to the area collaborated in the incident.
