The firefighters of the Lanzarote Safety and Emergency Consortium intervened this past Monday to open a house in Playa Honda, in San Bartolomé. On the spot was an elderly woman who had suffered a fall and could not move, according to the Consortium.
The events took place at 2.45 pm this Monday, when the firefighters received the warning from the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security. Once at the entrance, they accessed through a window and then opened the main door of the house.
When they opened the house, the emergency services were in charge of assessing the woman. Then, between the firefighters and the health personnel who had moved to the area, they proceeded to mobilize her to the ambulance, where she was referred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital.
This incident adds to a first rescue that took place in Ecuador Street in Arrecife, where firefighters helped mobilize a woman in a transfer chair to the stretcher. On this occasion, the patient was also transferred to the hospital center by the paramedics.
