Three volunteer firefighters from the Tías Civil Protection, alerted by the CECOES, went this Monday to put out a delivery van that was burning on Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.
Upon arrival, the troops proceeded to extinguish the fire with water and after a few minutes, the firefighters of the Security Consortium arrived and took command of the situation although the fire was practically extinguished.
The Civil Protection volunteers remained at the scene to mark the sidewalks at the request of the Tías Local Police for the safety of pedestrians. Finally, the vehicle was removed with a crane and the road was cleaned.
