A tourist injured after falling in Las Grietas

A woman was transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital in an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service.

Los Boluntis (Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote) rescued a woman injured in Montaña Blanca this Wednesday. The accident occurred around 12:00 noon in a very busy area known for tourist visits, on the side of the volcano, Las Grietas.

The woman, of French nationality, suffered a fall and a possible femur fracture, according to emergency personnel.

At that moment, the health personnel requested the collaboration of the Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote due to the risk of falling. The 'Boluntis' transferred her on a stretcher to a practical area where the 4x4 vehicle was located. Subsequently, she was put into an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) and transferred to the José Molina Orosa Hospital.
