The Local Police of Teguise has evicted this Friday at noon the Hiperdino Express of Las Cucharas in Costa Teguise due to a strong gas smell, as reported to La Voz by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies (CECOES). In addition to the Local Police, the firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote have also moved to the place.

The events took place this Friday around 12.50 noon. At that time, the staff and customers of this supermarket have been evicted because of the smoke, after the firefighters observed high levels of carbon monoxide.

The firefighters opened the doors at the place to ventilate. Meanwhile, they looked for the origin of the smoke. "A differential in an electrical panel jumped and, according to an employee, it could be from the light of the refrigerators, so it was searched with more intensity in them." The workers of the refrigerator company also helped in that intervention.

However, the firefighters, after searching also in the false ceilings of the premises and not finding anything with the gas detector, decided to allow the entry of the workers.

After carrying out the appropriate examinations, they proceeded to ventilate the supermarket again, they point out from the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote.

In addition, the Local Police has been in charge of regulating the traffic of the road that is in front of the supermarket to allow the firefighters to work better.
