A paraglider was injured this Monday after suffering a fall in the Famara area. The 50-year-old man had a "less serious" hip injury, according to the assessment made by paramedics at the scene of the accident.
The incident occurred at around 10.45 am, when a call was received at the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government alerting of this accident. A basic support ambulance and another medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service have traveled to the scene, which have been responsible for immobilizing the injured person and transferring him to the Molina Orosa hospital.
Members of the Security and Emergency Consortium and agents of the Local Police have also traveled to the area and have collaborated in locating the affected person.
