The Island Library had to be evacuated after suffering a small fire. The incident took place at around 8.30 pm this Sunday, according to the Emergency Consortium.
After being alerted by the CECOES, agents of the Local Police and firefighters went to the scene. The emergency teams found that it was a minor fire inside one of the toilets of the island library. What was burning was a paper dispenser that was extinguished with a powder extinguisher by the security employee of the library itself.
The dispenser is removed and the closure of the library is recommended for cleaning. Once finished, they return to the park.
