A new boat has arrived at dawn on the coasts of Lanzarote. In the boat, which was intercepted about five miles east of the island, there were 25 immigrants on board, of which four are women and three are minors.
The boat, an inflatable boat, was intercepted at about 02:30 hours and its occupants were transferred by Maritime Rescue to Puerto Naos. Members of the Civil Guard, National Police, SUC and Red Cross volunteers traveled there, who attended to the immigrants.
According to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, all occupants are in good condition.
The immigrants have been transferred to the Aula de la Naturaleza de Máguez where, throughout the day, they are expected to undergo PCR tests for coronavirus.
