A minor from the La Santa shelter was injured after being stabbed during the night this Wednesday. According to what the Minister of Social Welfare of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Marci Acuña, informed La Voz this Thursday, the "minor is recovering" in the Molina Orosa hospital and his "life is not in danger."

What happened that night would be a fight between the minors of the center. Acuña stressed that measures have been taken in this regard after the event. "We have proceeded to file the pertinent complaint."

This would not be the first fight with a knife that has occurred in the center. On March 12, the Civil Guard seized a machete, a knife and a razor from three minors at the La Santa shelter. The agents of the Benemérita, warned by the caretakers of the center, fearing that something might happen, had to intervene early that Saturday morning.

As La Voz reported, three of the minors who live in the place arrived late at night, and were arguing among themselves while allegedly carrying a large machete.
