The body of a man, whose identity is unknown for now, has been found lifeless this Friday morning on Playa Mujeres, one of the beaches of Papagayo. According to what has been confirmed by the Civil Guard, the corpse has a shot in the face and a firearm has been found nearby.
It was a citizen who raised the alarm at around 10 o'clock when he came across the lifeless body. Thus, Civil Guard officers have moved to the place, who have found a pellet gun a few meters from the corpse.
Likewise, a vehicle has been located in the vicinity that was open and is believed to belong to the deceased person. However, although it has been possible to verify who the owner of the car is, it has not yet been possible to verify whether it is the deceased.
The first indications, according to the Civil Guard, point to a probable case of suicide, although the Civil Guard will investigate the facts in order to clarify what happened. In addition, although the corpse has a gunshot wound, the corresponding autopsy will be performed.
