The Salvamar vessel has found the body of a man in Gran Tarajal (Fuerteventura), which could be that of Manuel Gutiérrez, one of the fishermen from Lanzarote who disappeared ten days ago, when he went fishing with another companion in the "Popeye II". Two days later, the boat appeared sunk off the coast of Arrecife.
According to reports from the Security and Emergency Consortium, they are waiting for the body to be transferred to port to confirm if it is Manuel Gutiérrez, although the Civil Guard has confirmed that "his clothing corresponds" to that of the missing fisherman.
Emergency teams were searching for Manuel Gutiérrez in Fuerteventura, after the body of the companion who was traveling with him, Ramón Hernández, was located this Saturday near the shore, in the Los Molinos area, in Corralejo.
