Officers of the Local Police of Tías proceeded in the early hours of this Thursday to the arrest of T.I., 40 years old and a native of Romania, for an alleged crime of robbery with force, which took place in Puerto del Carmen, when he was trying to access the interior of a jewelry store.
Agents of the Local Police of Tías were carrying out the preventive patrol of citizen security, when they heard noises typical of construction at 00:30 hours, coming from a building adjacent to the jewelry store, so they proceeded to inspect the place,
There, according to reports, they observed "a man who, using a large sledgehammer, was carrying out the well-known hole method, in order to access the interior of the jewelry store".
Faced with the police presence, the man fled, being chased and reached a few meters from the place, seizing various tools contained in the backpack he was carrying.
In this way, the alleged perpetrator of the events was arrested, being transferred to police stations where the corresponding procedures were instructed to later be brought to judicial disposition.
