A man in serious condition after falling from a boat and drowning in Playa Blanca

He has been transferred by ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service to Molina Orosa

A 45-year-old man has been evacuated in serious condition after being pulled from the sea with signs of drowning, according to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The incident took place at around 5:00 p.m. this Sunday when an alert was received reporting that a boat was arriving at Marina Rubicón with a person in cardiorespiratory arrest.

Apparently, the affected person had fallen into the sea from the boat. The other occupants of the boat performed resuscitation maneuvers until they arrived at the port where the paramedics continued with the same. Subsequently, he was evacuated by basic life support ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital.

Local Police and Civil Guard agents have also been deployed to the scene.
