A 65-year-old man has been rescued in serious condition after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest in the pool of a hotel located on Avenida El Golf in Costa Teguise, according to CECOES.
The events occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. this Thursday, when the man was showing symptoms of drowning and was pulled from the water unconscious.
The swimmer has been transferred in a medical ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the Jose Molina Orosa Hospital. The complex's lifeguard performed basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers while the health resources were traveling to the scene of the incident.
Upon the arrival of the health personnel at the tourist establishment, the medical team continued with advanced maneuvers, which managed to recover the patient's pulse, and, once stabilized, he was transferred to the aforementioned hospital center, where he was admitted in serious condition.
