A head-on collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle has left one man in critical condition and another with minor injuries, according to reports from CECOES.
The accident occurred around 12:00 noon this Sunday at kilometer 30 of the LZ-1 towards Órzola, in the municipality of Teguise.
Upon the arrival of a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance, the patient had been in cardiorespiratory arrest for 20 minutes, but a nurse who encountered the accident had performed CPR maneuvers.
The driver of the motorcycle had fractures in both lower limbs, a pelvic fracture, and severe internal bleeding. As for the driver of the car, he had minor injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, another Basic Life Support ambulance and an Advanced Life Support ambulance have been activated. The three ambulance teams worked together at the scene for 50 minutes.
Subsequently, the José Molina Orosa University Hospital has been alerted to prepare all personnel, as the patient was going to be transferred in PCR.
Agents of the Civil Guard Traffic Unit and personnel from the Canary Emergency Service have also been dispatched to the scene.
