A group of surfers has rescued this Thursday morning a person with symptoms of drowning and who was unconscious in La Santa. This was reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium to La Voz. The events occurred at 08.27 in the morning.
After being alerted by the Coordinating Emergency Center (CECOES), the firefighters of Lanzarote moved to the place with a vehicle with a trailer to transport a jet ski. Before arriving, they were informed that the surfers in the area had rescued the person and had taken him ashore.
Once the firefighters and ambulances of the Canary Islands Emergency Service arrived at the place, they realized that it was a surfer, who was conscious at that moment and whom they had immobilized on a board and with cervical traction.
Between the firefighters and the sanitary personnel they transferred him from the board to the vacuum mattress that was on the ambulance stretcher, for later transfer.
The Local Police and the Civil Guard also attended the service.
