A fire broke out at approximately 8:50 p.m. this Sunday in the Elvira Sánchez ravine, near the Bosquecillo de Haría. Two fire trucks from the Emergency Consortium have been dispatched to the scene, as well as Civil Protection, Guardia Civil, Emerlan and Local Police.
The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, has also moved to the area to follow the evolution of the fire on site. "Although the changing wind has hindered the work of extinguishing the fire, around 11:00 p.m. the fire is practically controlled," said Villalba, who wanted to convey "a message of tranquility to the residents of the municipality and the rest of the island."

However, Villalba also wanted to highlight the need to have "more emergency resources in the north of the island.
