Officials attached to the Judicial Police Group of the Police Station of the National Police Corps of Puerto del Rosario have recently arrested Sonia A.. S., 22 years old, from La Coruña, with seven previous arrests, and Andrés R. P., of the same age, from Badajoz and with 6 previous records, romantic partners, as alleged perpetrators of ten vehicle theft offenses and four robbery offenses with force in a vehicle.
The events occurred during the months of November and December of last year and all took place in Puerto del Rosario, when the now detained, displaying great specialization, stole all of the aforementioned cars, causing at the same time consequent crimes against traffic safety and serious consequences in the road safety of people and vehicles, which produced a notorious social alarm.
Both always opted to choose cars of similar characteristics to each other in terms of brand, model and age and in the few occasions in which they did not achieve their objective, that is, the subtraction of the same, they stole all the objects found inside, consummating the continued crime of robbery with force in things.
Later they abandoned the cars in different points of the locality, having been able to recover practically all of those stolen.
Once in the police premises, the agents were able to verify that both detainees had responsibility in a total of fourteen crimes related to vehicle theft and robbery inside them, processing the appropriate procedures with which they were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
