A Civil Guard officer was injured in the efforts to locate the immigrants who arrived by boat at the Quíquere Ravine in the early hours of this Wednesday. According to the Civil Guard, the officer fell off a cliff of about two meters suffering a sprained ankle.
Several Civil Guard patrols moved to the area of the Quíquere Ravine at around 3:30 p.m., managing to locate 16 immigrants of Maghreb origin, including a woman and several who stated that they were minors.
The boat with which they arrived on the island was a gray zodiac, five meters long by two meters wide, with two outboard motors. None of the immigrants had to be transferred to the Hospital and during the morning they will be transferred to the facilities of the National Police Corps.
