A cetacean appeared stranded on the coast near Caleta Caballo on Thursday morning, according to volunteer firefighters from Lanzarote (Boluntis).
Members of the Society for the Study of Cetaceans in the Canary Archipelago (Secac) traveled to the site and requested the help of Boluntis since the area where the animal was located was difficult for biologists to access.
Once in the area, the volunteer firefighters rescued the animal and later transported it in an official vehicle to the headquarters of the NGO located in Playa Honda for study.
