A car driving on the road that connects Playa Honda with San Bartolomé suffered a fire, fortunately the driver was able to escape unharmed.
The incident took place at around 4:30 p.m. this Friday when the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) alerted the Security and Emergency Consortium.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found that the Local Police were already directing traffic. The affected vehicle had flames in the engine area, which were spreading towards the passenger compartment.
Emergency personnel immediately proceeded to extinguish the fire using water. Subsequently, they removed the vehicle from the road to avoid obstacles in traffic and finally, the road was cleaned to ensure the safety of drivers.
The Civil Guard also went to the scene of the incident.
