Maritime Rescue rescued 28 immigrants from a boat that capsized in waters near the island of Lanzarote on Tuesday night, according to the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center.
The search for people in the area by security devices continues due to the possibility that there have been missing persons at sea. According to the immigrants themselves, there could be about 38 people traveling on the boat, including three women.
As for those rescued, after taking them ashore, they have been assisted, having to transfer a minor and three men to a hospital on the island with moderate hypothermia.
