A small boat carrying twelve people was rescued this Sunday while sailing in the waters of the Canary archipelago, as reported by sources from Maritime Rescue.

On the morning of this Sunday, the Maritime Rescue Control Center in Las Palmas received a notice from the Civil Guard reporting a possible small boat 12 miles from Arrieta, so the 'Al Nair' rescue boat was mobilized.

Once in the area, the rescue boat spotted the vessel and confirmed that it was a small boat, a pneumatic type, with 11 men and 1 woman of Maghreb origin, and proceeded to rescue them.

With everyone on board, the rescue boat took them to the Commercial Port of Arrecife, where they were attended by the Red Cross.

12 people have been treated, including a woman and three minors. They have stated that they left Safir six days ago.
