Agents of the Local Police of Tías seized on Tuesday morning a bale of hashish found on a beach on the coast of Puerto del Carmen, which is in addition to the one found in Las Caletas after residents alerted the security forces after seeing a man on a bicycle throwing it on the beach.
In the case of the bale found in Puerto del Carmen, according to the Tías City Council, it was also a citizen who, at around 9:32 a.m., called the Local Police reporting the existence of a rectangular object, which could contain drugs.
After this warning, a patrol of the Local Police moved to the Peña del Dice, next to the Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, and found a bale stranded in that place that appeared to contain hashish inside. The agents also checked the area and found a blue plastic container on one side, which could have been used "as a buoy to keep the bale afloat, close to the surface and the coast."
The agents of the Local Police verified that the bale contained hashish and proceeded to transfer the package to the police facilities for the practice of the mandatory procedures. Subsequently, the bale was made available to the Civil Guard of the Puerto del Carmen Post so that they could carry out the investigations and other procedures before its judicial deposit.
