A 4-year-old boy is in serious condition after drowning in a hotel pool in Playa Blanca, according to CECOES.
Local Police, Civil Guard and two ambulances, one medicalized and one with vital support, from the Canary Emergency Service have been dispatched to the scene.
The events took place at around 12:26 p.m. this Wednesday when a lifeguard rescued the unconscious minor with symptoms of severe drowning. A person who identified himself as a doctor at the scene verified that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest and performed resuscitation maneuvers, managing to recover him.
Subsequently, the health personnel assessed and assisted the minor who, once stabilized, was transferred in serious condition in a medicalized ambulance to the Molina Orosa hospital.
For their part, the police have made the appropriate reports.
