A 78-year-old man was found dead after a house fire on Virgen del Pino street in Punta Mujeres. The incident took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. this Saturday, at which time CECOES was alerted.
The Security and Emergency Consortium, a medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service, Local Police, Civil Guard, Emerlan and Civil Protection were dispatched to the scene.
Upon the arrival of the emergency resources, the fire was extinguished. The firefighters verified that the fire was extinguished, and in a bed in the room on the upper floor was the body of a male, possibly deceased, and the house ventilated, so the firefighters authorized the entry of the SUC doctor who certified the death and of the scientific police of the Civil Guard who had arrived at that time.
