Firefighters found a 73-year-old German man dead in his home on Sancocho Street, in San Bartolomé, at approximately 00:50 this Monday, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

After being alerted by CECOES, the officers went to the address to open the house because the tenant was not answering calls and the neighbors had not seen him in the area for several days.

After forcing the entrance door of a garage, they verified that the person suffered from Diogenes syndrome. The firefighters took out the garbage and belongings so that the Local Police could enter, at which point they found the man dead.

The officers awaited the arrival of the Judicial Police and the funeral services to collaborate with the removal of the corpse, since it was buried in the garbage.
