The Acatife Cultural Association, accompanied by thirteen soloists, offered this Thursday in Yaiza, on the eve of Canary Islands Day, the show Ecos de mujer, a very careful review of all the styles of Canarian popular music and the land itself, its passions, events, joys and sorrows, respecting, of course, the tradition, but with that point of extra content that Acatife imprints on the compositions that make the folklore of the Islands great.

The public gathered in the Plaza de Los Remedios enjoyed the touch of Acatife and applauded the different vocal registers, strength and freshness of the thirteen invited soloists, three of them young established singers from the host municipality: Alexia Caraballo, Carlota Camacho and Gabriela Rodríguez.

“We are very satisfied because our neighbors from Yaiza, and people who came from other municipalities, enjoyed this evening of tribute to the Canary Islands, which is also a tribute to a group like Acatife that already has more than forty years of artistic career”, highlights the Councilor for Culture, César Rijo.

Folías, isas and malagueñas and the interpretation of seguidillas were heard with the participation of the thirteen female voices, almost to finish the concert, because the devoted public asked for more. Fifty artists on stage for a great night of music that not even some cold that appeared at the last minute could spoil. The Yaiza City Council congratulates Acatife for the quality of its show and the public for its wonderful response.
