Yaiza has landed this week in Madrid, at the International Tourism Fair FITUR, with a dramatized proposal lasting ten minutes. Salvador Leal is the director and screenwriter of the play, which stars three southern actors and has been conceived, with audiovisual support, to promote the benefits of the tourist destination with messages and emotions that find their creative means of transmission in the staging.
An initiative, in the words of the mayor Óscar Noda, "novel that seeks to capture attention outside the common places usually presented in this type of meeting of professionals in the sector, and we do it with the sensitivity of art, which also ratifies our conviction for the dissemination of culture for the knowledge and learning of our values and now also as a way of promoting the municipality as a tourist destination, pointing out that art itself is also a focus of attraction."
The Councilor for Tourism of Yaiza, Ángel Domínguez, confirms that "the City Council has already arranged several passes of the play in FITUR, one of them on the day that the organization grants to the Association of Tourist Municipalities of the Canary Islands (AMTC), of which Yaiza is a part, and another at the stand of Cabrera Medina - CICAR, a leading car rental service company in the Canary Islands."
"The volcano gives Yaiza a unique beauty that makes it one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Canary Islands, and that is what the municipality is going to FITUR for, to help teach and remember it surrounded by art. The City Council, on the other hand, has closed interviews with tour operators to study the cruise market with the new Port of Playa Blanca fully operational," they conclude from the Consistory.
