With great solemnity and participation, the residents of Tinajo celebrated the festival in honor of their Patron Saint, San Roque.

At 7:00 p.m., with the two naves of the church full of faithful, the Solemn Eucharist began, presided over by Carlos María Marrero Moreno, Parish Priest of Pedro Hidalgo and Casa Blanca, in the Southern Cone of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and concelebrated by the titular parish priest of Tinajo, Francisco José García Socorro. The songs of the celebration were performed by the organist Don Alejandro Rubio and the Singing Class of the Tinajo School of Music.

After the Eucharist, the procession began, headed by the Municipal Music Band 'Peña de San Roque' of Tinajo, directed by Professor Orlando Morales. After the band, the image of San Roque was accompanied by the celebrating priests, the mayor of the municipality, Jesús Machín, several councilors, the Minister of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, and a multitude of residents who walked along with him through the main streets of the town.

Upon their return, the Gaida Folk Group, from the municipality of Tías, was waiting in the square, offering the Patron Saint an emotional display of traditional songs and dances from Lanzarote. The repertoire included seguidillas, sorondongo and ended with a vibrant malagueña. The public responded with warm applause and the dance troupe bid farewell to San Roque by making a guard of honor as a sign of respect.

The image continued its journey to the church, where it was received again with applause, ending a day marked by faith, music and tradition in honor of the Patron Saint of Tinajo.
