Thousands of people enjoyed the event organized by the Arrecife City Council this Thursday on Reducto Beach, to celebrate the traditional Night of San Juan.

The event included music with the concert offered by DJ Nandy, Tío Matt and Kardomillo, as well as a barbecue and a large bonfire, and which culminated with a firecracker display that illuminated the Arrecife night. From the Consistory they point out that this act serves as an announcement "of a fun summer that promises to leave behind the two years of restrictions suffered due to Covid."

The mayoress of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, appreciates “the excellent response that this organized event has had", which she points out has been thanks "to the coordinated work of various areas of the City Council". "It serves as an example to demonstrate that this government group will continue working to recover the illusion of living and enjoying Arrecife, a city and a municipality that deserves all the love and work that we are proudly dedicating to it”, she added.

The program prepared by the Arrecife City Council to celebrate San Juan had the participation of the Festivities, Tourism and Sports areas. It also included sports activities such as beach volleyball and canoeing, which have been enjoyed by hundreds of young people from the municipality and the entire island, and which will culminate this Saturday with the 'XVII San Juan Swimming Crossing' organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife.
