One of the most well-known stars of Hollywood chose Lanzarote to enjoy the last days of 2024 with a group of friends. The actor of cinematographic successes such as Top Gun and Mission Impossible Tom Cruise joined the list of celebrities who choose the island of volcanoes to enjoy a getaway.
As La Voz advanced, Cruise spent a few days on a yacht in Puerto Calero, in the municipality of Yaiza. After saying goodbye to the year on the island, he left on January 2 to the United Kingdom in his private jet: the Gulfstream IV.
According to the newspaper La Provincia, the Gulfstream IV is the New Yorker's private plane with which he left the island last week. The initial model of the Gulstream IV cost 34 million euros in 1998.
This luxury plane is manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace and is capable of traveling more than 7,800 kilometers non-stop. In the cabin of this aircraft there is capacity for 19 passengers and it has seats that turn into beds.
However, this type of private aircraft has a significant impact on the environment because they produce much higher carbon emissions per passenger than commercial flights.
