“For us it is a pleasure, an honor to be in Lanzarote. I have said it a thousand times, I love this series, I love the role of Charlie Flow and this Monday we will be able to enjoy a unique filming in this wonderful place. We were very excited to come and we can finally say that this dream has come true.” This is how actor Carlos Torres, star of the series 'La Reina del Flow', expressed himself this Sunday at the presentation where the details of a filming that promises to make history were revealed, this Monday on the capital's beach of El Reducto.
The president of the Island Council of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, the general director of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands, Daniel Morales, the owner of the organizing company DN7 Music, David Navarro, and the general producer of the Colombian series, Andrés Biermann, were present at this event. All of them accompanied not only Carlos Torres, but also the rest of the cast of actors composed of Juan Marpo, Mariana Gómez, Kiño and Juan Palau, who are already on the island preparing for the filming this Monday.
On the one hand, the president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, thanked Lanzarote for being chosen as the setting for the filming of the Colombian production, and assured that "it will be an invaluable opportunity to capture the interest and investment of the international audiovisual sector." He welcomed the team of 'La Reina del Flow', whom he invited to learn about the rich culture and gastronomy and the amazing volcanic landscapes. "The hospitality of the people of Lanzarote and our Latin community will make them not miss the Caribbean heat," he said.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, stated that Arrecife was going to become "a first-class international film set and for us it is a
pride. The moment David Navarro raised the possibility of coming to record, we proposed the beach of El Reducto so that it would be the mirror and the window of the island to the world, so all that remains is to enjoy and that we can see the happy faces of the thousands of people who will fill the beach,” he said.
Similarly, the general director of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands, Daniel Morales, apologized for the absence of the Minister of Culture, Migdalia Machín, and pointed out that "there is no better promotion than this filming, which will take the name of Lanzarote to all corners of the world; and to young people, I invite them to take advantage and enjoy the event with their favorite artists."
The general producer of the series, Andrés Biermann, was also very excited to bring 'La Reina del Flow' to Europe for the first time and "on top of that to such a spectacular and beautiful place as Lanzarote," he confessed.
Finally, David Navarro, organizer of this montage and owner of DN7 Music, wanted to thank "all the institutions that have given us their support" and the people in charge of the series who "have trusted us after five years of work to be able to bring 'La Reina del Flow' to the Canary Islands.
Both Carlos Torres and Juan Marpo, Mariana Gómez, Kiño and Juan Palau agreed in recognizing that coming to Lanzarote was a very important step for a series that has broken records worldwide and also for their careers as artists: "It is a dream, to be here, to be able to sing and act on this beautiful island and show it to the world, I never imagined that one day this that we are experiencing was going to come true," said Mariana Gómez, who was joined by Kiño, Juan Marpo and Juan Palau when thanking "the great effort that a brother like David Navarro and his company DN7 Music have made. They and 'La Reina del Flow' are a great family,” they stated.
