The short film De mujer a mujer, created by the students of 2nd year of Audiovisual Graphics of the Pancho Lasso Art School, in Arrecife, has been awarded the first prize in the Bachiller/Ciclos category of the School Short Film Competition of the Lanzarote International Film Festival.
In addition, the project has also received four Crayon Awards, awarded by the school itself, Pancho Lasso, in recognition of the work done.
De mujer a mujer is a work that denounces and analyzes the propaganda elements of the Franco dictatorship, addressing how certain discourses and control mechanisms were historically constructed and disseminated.
Currently, the short film is also submitted to the Cinedfest festival, whose popular vote will open this Sunday, May 24, and in which you can vote for this short film in the following link.
Regarding the locations, they recorded mainly at the house of Paula, the main actress, in another house, in the park at the intersection of Guillermo Topham and León y Castillo streets, in Arrecife, at the Hotel Salinas in Costa Teguise, and at the house of a colleague, Diana. For voice recordings, they used the radio located at EA Pancho Lasso.
Hugo Sánchez (Screenplay, direction, and story), Lorena Gómez (Production), Paula Artigues (Lead actress), Zhili Chen (Director of photography and camera), Eduardo Becerra (Production assistant), Santino Allí (Sound and lead actor), and Víctor G. Moreno (Color grading and editing) were part of the project.
The students also thank Professor Lourdes Cristina Martín for her encouragement to develop the project.
