The transcendental role played by the two public education centers of Argana Alta in the remarkable transformation experienced by this neighborhood of Arrecife in the last twenty years came to light in the proclamation with which this Friday Loly Rocío, director of the CEO Argana, and Miguel Valencia, director of the CEIP Argana Alta, inaugurated the festivities in honor of María Auxiliadora, which will be celebrated until Friday, May 23, in the most populated neighborhood of the Lanzarote capital.
In this sense, both heralds emphasized that in the last two decades Argana Alta has become "a space where people from different cultures and religions coexist, sharing traditions, challenges and, above all, a deep mutual respect"; and they highlighted the commitment made by both educational centers "to unify multiculturalism, an innate heritage in the neighborhood, a product of the incessant increase of families seeking stability and a better future for their sons and daughters."
The event was attended by the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, and the first deputy mayor and councilor of Festivities of the city, Echedey Eugenio, who highlighted the "attractive" program of events prepared by the Argana Viva Neighborhood Movement Association, which also included in the act of reading the proclamation the performance of students from CEIP Argana Alta and IES Altavista participating in the Barrios Orquestados program, aimed at socially integrating children and young people from the Canary Islands neighborhoods through the creation of orchestras and musical choirs.
The musical performance of the Nueva Stella group closed the first day of celebration of a festival that will include a varied program of activities designed for the enjoyment of all audiences and that, with regard to this weekend, will offer car and motorcycle exhibitions, games and children's workshops, as well as a pajama and color party with a DJ for the youngest this Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and the performance of the El Golpito band, on Sunday starting at 8:00 p.m.
