The members of Grupo de Música Popular Teguey came down from San Bartolomé to the Port of Arrecife to bring the message of the Apostle San Bartolomé to Bishop San Ginés, in an act celebrated last Thursday and framed in the patron saint festivities of the capital.

With a lot of animation and a joy that infected anyone, the group began the concert on the stage installed on the bank of the Charco de San Ginés, surrounded by an audience eager to party that at all times sang the choruses and accompanied them with applause.

On such a special night for Teguey, the group surprised with each of the compositions all of their own creation such as Así es Lanzarote, Folías al patrón San Ginés, Bella Lucía, Historias del viejo Arrecife, Pa´ Dolores or el Sorondongo de las tradiciones, among many others. Directed by Leo García Corujo, they never let their guard down, maintaining the musical chords and the voices very well combined, all at one from the beginning to the end.

Since its presentation in May 2019, Teguey has not let its guard down, working day after day in its rehearsal room, reviewing the first compositions while creating others that are being added to its repertoire. Thus, in each concert they have been able to present them to the public that every day requires more their presence.

This is my town is Teguey's first record work, presented in November 2021 with 14 songs of their own creation that has been very well received by their followers and the general public.
