The magic of the circus world will return to the north of Lanzarote once again with 'MalabHaría', which will celebrate its 13th edition from January 2nd to 4th, organized by the northern Council with the support of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

The International Circus Festival will feature this time with four large-format shows and two grand circus galas, which will delight the audience with a multitude of circus modalities "of a very high technical quality." A total of 18 companies from 12 countries, with 42 artists in total, will once again surprise the more than 3,000 spectators that this Festival has annually.

During the presentation of the event, which took place on Tuesday morning at the Haría Town Hall, the mayor of the municipality, Alfredo Villalba, conveyed the government team's commitment to an event that has been consolidating in the calendar of cultural events, not only of the municipality, but of the entire island of Lanzarote.

For his part, the Minister of Culture of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Alberto Aguiar, congratulated the entire organizing team of 'MalabHaría' for the entity that it has been acquiring in each of the previous editions and guaranteed the collaboration of the first institution for the future.

"Top-level" program

Three of the shows that will be offered in this edition of 'MalabHaría' are free and will be held in the Haría square during daytime hours, while the three nighttime shows will take place in the sports hall, converted into a large theater for the occasion, with tickets at five euros.

Contemporary circus with verticals and acrobatic carries comes from Gropcirco, Xampanito, Kicirke and El Fedito, companies that will offer large-format shows combining circus, theater, clown and juggling.

El Gran Dimitri will be the presenter and host of the two circus galas, in which he will give way, in the first of them, to the straps of Oskar Mauricio, the juggling of Endika Salazar, the cyr wheel of María Cavagnero and the acrobatics of Du'k'to. Daniel Esteban will also delight the audience with his acroball, Rebecca Renninson and her lyre, and Jesús Forniés, who masters footballs like no one else.

As a final culmination, on the night of January 4, gala attendees will be able to enjoy the show of the well-known and televised Cucko Clown, as well as the juggling of Thomas Hoeltzel, the vertical rope of Alfa Marks or the hats of Lorenzo Mastropietro. The evening will be completed with the proposal of Eleni Anastasaki, with her balance ball, hula and accordion, the impressive number of the Dúo two filles (aerial frame) and, from Peru, the 'mano a mano' of the Dúo Vitalys.
