The orchestra 'Mambo Latino', with around "35 performances so far this year" in Lanzarote and some parts of Fuerteventura, will liven up the festivities of 'Los Dolores' with a 'verbenazo' next September 14th. A group that emerged in early May 2022 and is made up of eleven musicians, three girls and nine boys originally from the island.
The orchestra will also have its space after the concert of the Colombian singer Juanes, which will be held on Saturday, September 16 on the stage of Mancha Blanca. "We will perform at twelve o'clock at night after the Juanes concert", informs the director of the orchestra Antonio López to La Voz.
In 'Los Dolores', "we are going to represent the island", he adds proudly. "We have performed in almost all the events on the island, we have not stopped working", he says.
"We are lucky to have been called for these two events"
López has spoken with the newspaper about the upcoming events in which the orchestra will be present. "We have pending to specify some shows in other islands of the Canary Islands and also, maybe in the Peninsula", he advances. "For being an orchestra from Lanzarote we have a lot of work", he adds.
Antonio López (bassist and director of the orchestra), Armenda Martín, David Luzardo and Juanjo López, are some of the components of the band, formed as a "hobby" for music and performance. "We believe that people like what we do", he highlights.
