The Haría Town Hall kicks off its carnivals this year in style with the celebration of the great Inclusive Coso in which the entire educational community of the island participates.
The northern consistory, through the areas of Education and Social Welfare, led by councilors Paula Montero and Chaxiraxi Niz, respectively, and in collaboration with the Island Council, has resumed the celebration of this inclusion parade that will take place next Friday, February 23, at 10:00 a.m.
For the Councilor for Education, Paula Montero, “we are very pleased that this year we can once again enjoy this coso that is so special to us, where numerous educational centers from all over the island are involved and which also has the participation of the Enclave Classrooms.”
Montero points out that “the Inclusive Island Coso, which will be headed by the students of CEIP San Juan de Haría and will also have the participation of students from Adislan and CEE Nuestra Señora de los Volcanes de Tahiche, will depart from the IES Haría car park and will travel through the main streets of the municipality until reaching the Haría square."
For her part, the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Social Welfare, Chaxiraxi Niz, emphasizes that “this parade has become a benchmark not only in Lanzarote but also in the Canary Islands.”
“Hundreds of boys and girls from all over the island enjoy the Haría carnival and a fun day where diversity is valued and the participation of everyone is guaranteed, regardless of their physical, mental, social or cultural condition. In short,” adds Niz, “it is about creating a space where everyone feels welcome and can enjoy the party without any type of discrimination.”
The Inclusive Island Coso is a "great opportunity to raise awareness among the population about the richness that diversity brings us and the importance of inclusion, always respecting and valuing the differences that make us unique."
Among the centers that will participate in the coso are the Enclave Classroom of the Concepción Rodríguez Artiles School of Puerto del Carmen, Enclave Classroom of the CEIP César Manrique Cabrera of Tahíche, Enclave Classroom of the CEIP Alcalde Rafael Cedrés of Tías, Enclave Classroom of the IES San Bartolomé, Enclave Classroom of the CEO of Argana, Enclave Classroom of the IES Arrecife, Special School Nuestra Señora de Los Volcanes de Tahíche, Adislan, CEIP San Juan de Haría, IES Haría, IES Zonzamas and El Cribo.
